Secondary Control Room
The secondary control room that was once located at the Eastbourne Fire Station in East Sussex, UK, played a crucial role in managing emergency responses and coordinating firefighting efforts. It served as a vital backup facility, ensuring continuous communication and operational support in case the primary control room faced any disruptions or overwhelming situations.
The establishment of the secondary control room demonstrated the commitment to enhancing the station’s emergency response capabilities and maintaining a high level of readiness to address various incidents effectively.
The control room had a map of the county which covered a whole wall. Magnetic markers were used to indicate potential problems, like the flood warnings shown on the map below, as well as the location of ongoing incidents.
